St. Peter's Cathedral Archives houses and makes available the Cathedral official archives, along with archival materials related to the church community in Charlottetown and across Prince Edward Island.

The photographs show the retirement party for the Venerable G. S. Tanton. Photograph [a] includes two copies, one with a border and one without, showing the Venerable G. S. Tanton standing with his wife in the church. Photograph [b] shows, from left to right: G. S. Tanton, property warden Dr. Hammond Kelly, and Freda Harris [to be confirmed], as well as several unidentified individuals.
The photograph is a head and shoulders studio portrait of W. B. King, Assistant Priest of St. Peter's Cathedral from 1882-1885 and Headmaster of St. Peter's school during that time as well. The Notman studio logo is on the back.
The archives consist of handwritten and typed manuscripts of various writings by Walter Aidan Cotton, along with correspondence about his manuscripts, his last will and testament, and his wishes for the management of his publications and writings. The titles represented in the archives include: Faith in Christ and the Belief in Miracles; The Priesthood and the Resurrection; The Sap of the Vine; and The Sublimation of Life in God's Sacramental Universe.
