A second inscription in lighter writing reads "Opening Centre" and "MacCallum." It is unclear who/what the name "MacCallum" is referencing.

The inscription on the back of the photograph reads: "Bishop of Bradford who was quite a [?] made E. M. shine his shoes." Additional text on the back is indecipherable.
