Custodial history
The Atlantic Theological Conference Archives form part of the St. Peter's Cathedral Church archives, which were relocated from the church bell tower to the church basement and then into a purpose-built archival room. The records had been stored in boxes and bags at one point and original order was lost. Additional materials related to the Atlantic Theological Conference were added to the archives as work on the backlog was carried out and volunteers donated related materials. Files were constructed from documents found among the Archives’ backlog as part of the DHCP-funded archival processing project.
Scope and content
According to source information provided by St. Peter's Cathedral Church, the Atlantic Theological Conference was established in order to bring together people from all walks of life to hear papers and participate in discussions on issues of enduring theological importance. The Atlantic Theological Conference has no official church sponsorship and is funded through registration fees and individual donations. A grant from the Segelberg Trust (http://segelbergtrust.ca/) has provided additional support for the conference for several years.
The Atlantic Theological Conference Archives consist of correspondence, programmes, registration lists, reports, and published proceedings for annual conferences, often held at St. Peter's Cathedral Church. A total of 10 files hold conference records, as follows:
File 1: 1983, 0.5 cm, programme, report

St. Peter's Cathedral Church is involved with organizing conference events, but St. Peter's Publications is normally in charge of publishing the proceedings. These archives are held by St. Peter's because of the church connection. Other archives may be found with the official records of St. Peter's Publications, which are held by St. Peter's Cathedral Church but do not form part of the church's archives. Information about the 2019 and 2020 conferences is available on the St. Peter's website at http://www.stpeter.org/conf.htm (current as of January 2020).
