The photographs form part of the collection brought together by St. Peter's Cathedral Archives volunteers. The back of one of the photographs notes it was donated by Mary Hooper of Winsloe. Mary Hooper and Marjorie Vessey each sent in one of the other two photos.

Scope and content

The photographs show the AYPA players at St. Peter's Hall performing the scene "Silas Pettingill's Country Store" from the play "Music at the Crossroads", directed by Stewart Dickson. The caption on the back of one of the images identifies the people as follows: Back row, left to right: Harry Shama, Jimmy Korrey, Sterling Walker, Stewart Dickson (Director), Canon Malone, Marjorie MacPherson (later Marjorie Vessey), Delma Peake (later Delma Horne), Helen Acorn (later Helen Jewell), Art MacLean. Front row, left to right: Marion Peake, Mary Acorn (later Mary Hooper), Hilda Pickard, Peter Shama, Barb Pickard, Robert Acorn, Eleanor Kays.
